Submission

In order to be able to submit articles to the journal and check the status of your materials, you must log in to the site as a registered user.

Submission requirements

When submitting a manuscript to a journal, authors must confirm that it meets all of the established requirements listed below. If the submitted work is found to be non-compliant with the points of these requirements, the editors will return the materials to the authors for revision.

  • The manuscript is original work that has not been previously published and is not under review in another journal (cases provided for in the journal's Duplication Policy) (or provide an explanation in the comments to the editor).
  • Submission files of article texts are documents in Microsoft Word format.
  • In the file containing the main document - TEXT OF THE ARTICLE, there are no links to the names of the authors and/or their credentials.
  • Bibliographic references to electronic resources in the text are accompanied by full, correct URLs and DOIs.
  • The author's original articles are written competently in Ukrainian or English.
  • The structure and design of the main text, tables, figures, list of bibliographic references corresponds to the Recommendations for authors and the template of the article Recommendations for authors of the "For authors" section.
  • Authors agree that their articles will be published in the open access under license Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
  • Article metadata has been completed in Ukrainian and English (authors must select the correct language in the Language option in the form), including authors' last names in capital letters and the title, abstract and keywords in both English and Ukrainian.
  • All sources mentioned in the text are taken into account in the References.

Submission procedure

In order to be able to submit articles to the journal, check the status of your materials, and receive information about the review and publication decision, you must log in to the site as a registered user.

Once logged in, click the “Submit Manuscript” button and follow these steps:

  1. choose the type of manuscript (see more about the types of publications below, as well as in the "Recommendations for authors") and fill out the submission form (read all questions carefully and tick all boxes);
  2. indicate the names and affiliation of the author(s), title, abstract, keywords and other metadata;
  3. determine the classification categories for your manuscript;

4) complete the submission metadata, including details of any supporting funding agencies, conflicts of interest, comments for editors;

5) upload the article file and any additional files;

6) confirm the automatically generated version of the article and metadata (or review them, if necessary);

7) upload additional files and associated metadata;

8) check the sent files and confirm sending.

When submitting a manuscript, the responsible author (corresponding author) must provide contact information for all authors and confirm that each co-author has approved or that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

We ask that authors read the Guidelines for Authors and the submission requirements below before submitting a manuscript.

Submission of an article automatically means the consent of the author(s) to the terms of the License Agreement. 

Types of publications

Journal "Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Public Administration" publishes the following types of articles and materials:

  • original research articles;
  • overview articles;
  • reviews.

Original research articles. Contain original ideas and present theoretical, empirical, experimental and/or methodological achievements in relevant fields of scientific research. Description of null or negative results and reanalysis of previous studies leading to new results or confirmation of previous ones are encouraged.

Review articles. They provide a balanced and comprehensive overview of the latest discoveries in a particular field and summarize topics that have not yet been covered in the published literature.

Reviews should be based on the peer-reviewed literature and not contain new data or new hypotheses.

Reviews. Reviews of scientific, educational publications in legal sciences (each journal writes its own sciences) should give readers a clear understanding and comprehensive information about the latest monographs, educational publications, demonstrate the advantages and/or disadvantages of the reviewed publication compared to publications of a similar subject.

Introduction by the editor. The chief editor of the publication can prepare an introduction with information about the main articles of the change number in the journal's editorial policy, etc. If the editorial office prepares a special edition of the publication dedicated to a certain topic, problem, and engages special guest editors, they also have the right to prepare an introduction to the special issue.

Privacy Policy

Personal information of authors, reviewers, editors and other persons registered on the journal's website is used by the editors only for checking, reviewing and/or publishing articles and does not pass it on to any other party (person).

The editors acknowledge that all materials sent to the magazine are the private and confidential property of the authors.

The review of the original author's manuscripts is carried out confidentially, since the authors trust the editors with the results of their scientific work and creative efforts, on which their reputation and further scientific career may depend.

In order to avoid harm to authors or reviewers due to premature disclosure of any information from the author's original article, all participants in the editorial process are prohibited from sharing with third parties during the preparation of the article for publication any details of the content of the article (in general or any part), data about the status in the review process, reviewers' comments and suggestions, intermediate or final results of the review.

Reviewers must refrain from using any of the authors' ideas until the article is published.

Any requests from third parties regarding the use or transfer of author's originals submitted for publication in the journal will be rejected by the editors.

Responsible editors should emphasize that reviewers must keep manuscripts, related materials, and all review details confidential and not disclose them to third parties.

The editors ensure the confidentiality of the names and affiliations of the reviewers during the double-blind review process and after publication of the manuscript.

The editors do not keep copies of rejected manuscripts. Reviewer comments may not be published or made public in any other way without the permission of the reviewer, the author, and the responsible editor.
